This area is the place for antiquing and has a wide variety of eclectic restaurants to choose from as well as the Hudson Opera House which offers concerts, exhibitions, theatre, dance presentations, and art events. 

Outdoor Recreation: Columbia County is a the perfect backdrop to any outdoor persuit but it is truly special in Autumn. Enjoy apple or pumpkin picking at the many local farms, or brave a corn maze and haunted hay ride. Ask Chris for details!

Located just 7 minutes away is the ART OMI Fields Sculpture Park,  offering a beautiful rolling farmland with large scale sculptures.  Lenox MA, just a 35 minute drive away is Tanglewood, the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the famous Tanglewood Music Festival and Jazz Festival as well as the popular James Taylor summer concerts.  Located just a hour away is Jacob’s Pillow, an internationally acclaimed summer dance festival (the first and longest-running in the United States) whose performances are not to be missed. Built high on a hill near Hudson, NY between 1870 and 1891 is  Olana State Historic Site, the former home of  renowned Hudson River School Artist, Frederic E. Church. From the magnificent sweeping vistas to the Persian style villa and artwork, Olana will leave you truly inspired.

Ski, Snowboard & Tubing

The Catamount Mountain Skiing & Adventure Park is just 20 miles away, here one can enjoy skiing the 33 trails in both late fall and winter. During the summer and fall be sure to check out their unique aerial forest park and zip through the trees! The family-friendly Bosquet Ski area 25 minutes away in Pittsfield MA, is another option for winter fun with snowboarding/tubing and skiing available.
